CALL FOR ADVISORY MEMBERS!!

CALL FOR ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS!!
Please consider joining the Adult Learner Advisory Council. The purpose of the council is to assist in planning for the 2008-2009 Adult Learner Success Series sponsored through Career Services and DUS. The series will focus on four topics pertaining to adult students throughout the year. These topics include networking/mentoring, financial planing for the future, technology, and empowerment of women.

Why should I participate on the Adult Learner Advisory Council?

  • Joining the council is a GREAT resume builder to display campus involvement outside of the classroom.
  • The Success Series will be a program based on your feedback and interests.
  • This is an opportunity to develop ties with Career Services and network with other professionals and employers.

What will be required?

  • Participation in two meetings each semester (Fall 2008 & Spring 2009)
  • Attendance at one Success Series event per semester (there will be a total of four for the year)
