THON 2009 was another great success raising $7,490,133.83 for kids with cancer. Despite the failing economy, THON 2009 raised a record amount which illustrates the passion that Penn State students have in finding a cure for cancer. Penn State Lehigh Valley was fortunate enough to have four students participate in the 48-hour dance marathon held at University Park. In addition to dancing, Melissa Corl, Liz Gerancher, Greg Sidlar, and CJ Walker, along with other dedicated Penn State Lehigh Valley students spent a year fundraising aiding in the success of THON 2009. We are now one step closer in the fight to conquer childhood cancer. Congratulations to our four dancers as well as the students that provided support in fundraising activities and events.
