Club Sports at Penn State Lehigh Valley

Academics are great for your mental health, and exercise is wonderful for your physical health. Here at Penn State Lehigh Valley, we strive to create a balance between the two for optimum performance! Athletic clubs available at Penn State Lehigh Valley include:

Bowling Club

The bowling club brings student together who love to bowl. This group meets weekly at a local bowling alley. Email Abdoafz103@psu.edu for more information.

Cycling Club

The cycling club provides opportunities for cyclists of all levels to ride and compete. Email Coach Mandy Marquardt at mqm5336@psu.edu or visit the Cycling Club website for additional information.

Golf Club (currently inactive)

This club plays in the spring and fall taking trips to local golf courses. Beginner to advanced golfers may join.

Outdoors Club

This club attempts to build a better understanding between humans and nature through organized, noncompetitive recreational activities. Some of these activities include hiking, camping, elk watching, climbing, kayaking. Email Eugene ejt5072@psu.edu for more information.

Powerlifting Club

Open to the entire student body, this club competes in state and national level contests. The club also introduces members not interested in competing to the sport of powerlifting and will teach the fundamentals and disciplines of lifting. Email Louis lwc5095@psu.edu for additional information.

Running Club (currently inactive)

This club meets weekly and runs together. They enter local races and have a lot of fun.

Ski Club

This club travels to Blue mountain ski resort. Members get great discounts on various ski or board packages. Membership is open to all students from beginner to expert skiers. An annual ski trip is usually planned. Previous trips have included Sugar Loaf, VT and Canada. Email Joe jtf5095@psu.edu or John jjp5344@psu.edu for additional information.

Tennis Club (currently inactive)

This club meets to have tennis partners and plays on campus and off campus. Over the winter this club plays indoors at the West End Racquet Club or Brookside Country Club.

100-Mile Club (currently inactive)

Earn a T-shirt after 100 miles of activity. Join anytime at the Fitness Center. It doesn't end at 100 miles; reach 200 miles and receive shorts!

PSU-LV Varsity Club

The purpose of the PSU LV Varsity Club is to provide an environment in which PSU LV intercollegiate student athletes can exercise their voice as well as organize and raise funds to benefit the intercollegiate programs at PSU LV.
