The Gallery hosts exhibit on Latin American leading artists
The Gallery at Penn State Lehigh Valley would like to announce the opening of their newest exhibit, "Altering Reality: Latin American Leading Artists." The exhibition will run from Aug. 27-Oct. 12, and will feature the works of seven Latin American artists from countries such as Cuba, Dominican Republic, Peru, and Venezuela. Artists include
Pedro Fuertes, Dora Lopez, Rigo Peralta, Orlando Rafael Quevedo, Carlos Solis, Juan Ramiro Torres, and Ricardo Viera.
Each artist explores his or her own truth that is rooted in tradition, culture, nature and tremendous
skill, yet all transcend that reality in a distinctive enchanted style. Whether the vision is expressed
through abstraction, surrealism, or scrutiny, the result is a unique reality that can only live in the land of art.
An artist reception will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, from 4-7 p.m., with a gallery talk beginning at 4 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. For additional evening hours, please call 610-285-5078. For an appointment or for more information, contact Ann Lalik, Gallery Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-285-5078.
