Professor gives international invited presentation from afar

On July 7, 2012, while en route to Panama with the 2012 CHANCE crew, Dr. Jacqueline McLaughlin, associate professor of Biology and CHANCE founding director, presented, Taking a CHANCE to Empower Science Education by Blending Scientific Research with Teaching–the Jiangnan-Penn State University “global environmental sustainability” field course. This presentation, at the International Union of Biological Sciences (IUBS) Conference in Suzhou, China, was offered via a pre-made video and coordinating PowerPoint through the assistance of her colleagues and co-presenters, Drs. Xiaoying Cheng and He Liu from Jiangnan University, Wuxi, China.
