Event set to create buzz about beekeeping

Penn State Lehigh Valley and the Lehigh Valley Beekeepers Association (LVBA) will present "Some Buzz about Beekeeping" from 8:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m., June 11 at the campus in Center Valley.


The event will feature presentations by Diana Cox-Foster, entomologist at Penn State University, Larry Connor, author and respected authority on beekeeping, and Suzanne Allen, master gardener. Topics of interest include honey bees and beekeeping for new and experienced beekeepers, the latest honey bee and queen bee research, breeding productive and hardy queen bees, and native pollinators. The presentation is suitable for all levels of beekeepers as well as anyone interested in learning about nature and the environment.
