Kinesiology professor to present next 'Faculty Forum' lecture

Douglas Hochstetler, Ph.D., associate professor of kinesiology, at Penn State Lehigh Valley, will be the featured speaker for the next Faculty Forum presentation at 1:15 p.m. on November 3 in room 219 at the campus in Center Valley. This lecture is free and open to the public.

 

Hochstetler will present "Coaching Philosophies and Iowa Farmers: Philosophical and Historical Research in Kinesiology," and will discuss his recent sabbatical during which he examined the nature of coaching philosophies with respect to a variety of factors. These factors include the individual coach’s experiential perspective and process, the extent to which these belief systems approach certainty, and the fruitfulness of a coaching philosophy overall.
