The Penn State Lehigh Valley community is invited to join in a celebration of Hispanic Heritage on October 8, at the campus in Center Valley.

The festivities begin at 12:15 p.m. in the auditorium (room 135) with international spoken word artist Gabriela Garcia-Medina. Two Penn State Lehigh Valley students will also give readings of their own poetry at this time.

Following the performance, participants are invited to room 222 for salsa dancing and Spanish food, sponsored by the Diversity Club.

Gabriela Garcia-Medina is an international spoken word artist and award-winning poet. She has performed at colleges, festivals, and conferences all over the world. Her book, "Ink-Scribing Oshun," has been touring nationally since November 2006.
