Career Services announces October events
The following career service events are available to students during the month of October:
GRE Practice Test
Date: Monday, October 12, 2009
Time: 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Location: Room 308, Center Valley
Information: A FREE practice test to help prepare for the GRE. Students who are interested in attending graduate school are encouraged to participate in this opportunity.
Graduate School Information Session & GRE Results
Date: Thursday, October 15, 2009
Time: 12:15-1:30 p.m.
Location: Room 207, Center Valley
Information: This session provides information about applying to graduate school. Students who took the practice GRE on October 12 will receive their results.
Law School Admissions Program
Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2009
Time: 12:15-1:30 p.m.
Location: Room 209, Center Valley
Information: Students can learn about the application process and general timeline for law school admissions. Visit http://www.psu.edu/dus/prelaw for additional law school resources.
Registration: Please register with Career Services by Tuesday, October 13.
Dress for Success
Date: Thursday, October 22, 2009
Time: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Location: Room 135 (auditorium), Center Valley
Information: This interactive program will show examples of appropriate dress attire for interviewing, career fairs, and networking. Employer representatives will be present to share tips. A networking reception will follow the event.
Registration: Please register with Career Services by Thursday, October 15.
Tech Trek
Date: Tuesday, October 27, 2009
Time: 1-5 p.m.
Location: Penn State Great Valley
Information: Tech Trek is an educational event sponsored by ITAG and CCEDC that encourages students to pursue information technology careers in Chester County and the surrounding region. A number of companies and career opportunities will be showcased with a networking reception to follow. Please visit http://www.itagpa.org/techtrek.php for more information. Please Note: This is not a career fair. Do not bring résumés as requested by ITAG and CCEDC.
Registration: Transportation is available to those who sign up with Career Services by Monday, October 19.
