Campus awarded seed money for alcohol and drug abuse prevention programs
University Health Services has awarded Penn State Lehigh Valley student affairs a portion of the grant money provided to the University by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) for alcohol and drug abuse prevention programming.
The Lehigh Valley campus was awarded $2,857 to serve as seed money to jump-start long-term campus initiatives aimed at preventing/reducing alcohol use or abuse. The campus plans to allocate the money for drug and alcohol counseling programs, alternative spring break, and fall 2009 social programming.
