Gallery Exhibit Celebrates Black History Month

During February, an exhibit titled "They Made a Difference: A Look at Famous African-Americans" will be on display in Penn State Lehigh Valley's Concourse Gallery. The exhibit will run February 2-28, 2009 and will include a look at the historic American citizens who have impacted the rich history of the African-American heritage.

The exhibit will include a look at the contributions of the following individuals:  Sojourner Truth, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Booker T. Washington, Marcus Garvey, Jackie Robinson, Rosa Louise Parks, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Nat King Cole, and Thurgood Marshall.

The exhibit is free and open to the public Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The gallery is located at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus at 8380 Mohr Lane in Fogelsville.
