Local News Pros to Discuss "The Future of News"

The Penn State Lehigh Valley Honors Program will present an educational panel featuring local news professionals about "The Future of News" from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 30, in the Atrium.  The event is free and open to the public.

During the presentation, which will be moderated by Penn State Lehigh Valley honors students, the panelists will discuss how they use news now and how they may use it in the future, including the ways in which news is changing due to technological advances.

Panelists will include: Elizabeth Bartolai, web news reporter at The Morning Call; Jim DeSousa, news director at WDIY radio; Alan Janesch, former newspaper reporter and director of Penn State’s Grassroots Network; Glenn Kranzley, vice president and opinion page editor of The Morning Call; Joe McDermott, former newspaper reporter; Deb Palmieri, editor of the Northwestern Press; and Rob Vaughn, anchor/reporter at WFMZ Channel 69 News.
