Singer Mark Derose to perform on campus

11/19/2008 —

Singer/songwriter Mark DeRose will perform at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 9 in the Multipurpose room at the Lehigh Valley campus.

As a singer/songwriter and an instrumentalist on piano and guitar, Mark DeRose blends introspective lyrics with heartfelt acoustic rock.  Influenced by musical greats like James Taylor, Bruce Hornsby, and Dave Matthews, DeRose's performance has brought a distinctive sound to entertaining high energy crowds for nearly a decade.

DeRose has performed at many colleges and summer festivals in the Mid-Atlantic region.  In addition, he has opened for the Sugar Hill Gang, Josh Kelley, New Found Glory and, most recently, Blues Traveler.

The performance is free and open to the public.  For more information, please contact University Relations at 610-285-5067.
