Campus Celebrates Spanish Heritage Month

8/27/2008 —

In observance of Spanish Heritage Month, Penn State Lehigh Valley will host a celebration to learn about the Spanish heritage by presenting a variety of Spanish foods. The event will be held on Tuesday, September 16, at 12 noon in the Atrium and is open to the campus community. Dr. Ana Figueroa, assistant professor of Spanish, will also be showing a movie, Pan's Labyrinth, with a casual discussion afterwards in the Atrium.

The festivities are being sponsored by the Office of Student Affairs. This is the first of many multicultural events at Penn State Lehigh Valley which are designed to bring an understanding of cultural acceptance throughout the campus community.
