7/18/2008 —

Penn State Lehigh Valley, in partnership with the Holmes Corporation and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), is offering the instructor-led version of the official SHRM Learning System® program. The SHRM Learning System provides the most current and comprehensive knowledge of the six functional areas of Human Resource Management – Strategic Management; Workforce Planning and Employment; Human Resource Development; Total Rewards; Employee and Labor Relations; and Risk Management.

Classes will be held from 6 – 9 p.m. on Mondays, September 8 through November 24, 2008, at the Penn State Lehigh Valley Corporate Learning Center in Bethlehem.

The program consists of thirty-six hours of class instruction and an instructor-led review session prior to the PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification exam. In addition to the classroom experience, each participant receives his or her own set of SHRM Learning System materials, access to online learning and legislative updates, and practice tests.
