Penn State Lehigh Valley Launches New Web Calendar
Penn State Lehigh Valley recently launched a new Web site events calendar that is more user-friendly, provides more detailed information about all the campus’ events, allows for information to be forwarded to others, and offers online registration for events. Dr. Richard Martin (’81, Engineering) and his wife, Susan Yee-Martin, personally donated the purchase of the Active Data Calendar software that was created by their company Active Data Exchange. This new calendar software will assist in managing and marketing the numerous campus events.
Over the past few years, the campus has experienced tremendous growth. And, as such, the number of student activities and alumni and community events has grown. “There are so many rich and cultural events happening at Penn State Lehigh Valley that no one seems to know about. Hopefully, the calendar software will change that,” Dr. Martin stated.
The Active Data Exchange program will keep the campus and the Lehigh Valley community better informed on all campus happenings. The calendar is accessible at: http://events.lv.psu.edu and is also available from the Quick Links on the campus’ main Web page.
Active Data Exchange specializes in event publishing and information distribution across internal and external Web environments such as Active Data Calendar—a Web-based event marketing and planning calendar (www.activedatacalendar.com).
