Diane Lewis Named Assistant Director of Continuing Education
Diane Lewis was recently promoted to the position of Assistant Director of Continuing Education at the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus.
For the past seven years, Lewis has worked in the Office of Outreach and Continuing Education at Penn State Lehigh Valley as an Area Representative. In this position, she has facilitated the creation, marketing, implementation, and evaluation of professional development programs for Adult Learners. As part of that work, Lewis manages contracted training programs; recruits, hires, and evaluates instructors; and recruits participants through information sessions, professional organizations, and company visits. Additionally, she works as a liaison with business and community leaders to extend Penn State University resources to the Lehigh Valley service area and has cultivated and maintained community partnerships and programming initiatives. As Assistant Director, Lewis will continue to have many of the same responsibilities in more facets of existing and new programs within the Continuing Education Office.
Lewis recently received her M.Ed. in Adult Education from the Pennsylvania State University and holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from Bloomsburg University. Prior to joining Penn State Lehigh Valley, Lewis was Assistant to the Director of Admissions at Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, PA.
Currently, she a member of the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley’s Alliance on Aging-Workforce Development committee; a member of the Advisory Board Phoebe Ministries, Phoebe Institute on Aging; a member of the Society for Human Resource Management; and a member of the American Society for Training and Development. Lewis resides in Hellertown, PA.
