Part-Time Faculty Member Receives Outstanding Teaching Award
Dr. Brian Mauro, Director of Student Affairs and adjunct faculty member, was awarded the 2007 Penn State Lehigh Valley Outstanding Part-Time Faculty Teaching Award at the 21st annual Honors Convocation held recently at the campus in Fogelsville.
This prestigious award recognizes a part-time faculty member who has been teaching at Penn State Lehigh Valley for at least three years and has shown an outstanding commitment to the students. The individual is nominated by students and peers.
Dr. Ann Williams, Chancellor of Penn State Lehigh Valley, remarks, "Dr. Mauro's teaching style of sharing and true interaction with his students creates an exciting environment of learning. He is a professor who pays a great deal of attention to detail to ensure the success of students in his class."
Mauro holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Economics from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Ohio University, and a doctorate in Human Development from Marywood University. Mauro resides in Easton, Pennsylvania, with his wife and sons.
