Lehigh Valley cyclists post outstanding results at recent events

Penn State Lehigh Valley freshman Matt Baranoski, and sophomore Mandy Marquardt had impressive finishes in a number of events at the USA Cycling Collegiate Track Nationals held in September in Indianapolis, In.

Baranoski, of Perkasie, Pa., placed first in the kilometer and sprint events, and second in the flying time trial. Marquardt, of Brienigsville, Pa., placed first in the flying time trial, second in the sprint, seventh in the three kilometer pursuit and rounded out the top ten in the points race.
