Allentown Symphony Association director is November speaker
Senior Adults Gaining Enrichment (SAGE), an outreach program of Penn State Lehigh Valley, will host Sheila Evans, executive director of the Allentown Symphony Association, on Friday, November 6, at the Corporate Learning Center in Bethlehem, PA. Each SAGE session begins with coffee at 10:30 a.m. The featured speaker begins at 11 a.m., and lunch follows at noon.
Evans will present, "Allentown Symphony Hall – Past, Present, and Future," and will discuss the 110-year-old Downtown Allentown landmark.
Sheila Evans became executive director of the Allentown Symphony Association in January 2009. In this role, she is responsible for managing both the Allentown Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Hall. Evans, who has more than 20 years of corporate experience, hails from Kansas City where she spent the last 17 years at Sprint-Nextel.
