Gutgold receives award at annual conference
Nichola Gutgold, Ph.D., associate professor of communication arts and sciences at Penn State Lehigh Valley, is the recipient of the Pennsylvania Communication Association (PCA) 2009 Donald H. Ecroyd Research and Scholarship Award. The award was presented on Saturday, October 17, at the PCA 70th Annual Convention held at the Fred Rogers Center at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa.
The Donald H. Ecroyd Research and Scholarship Award honors a commitment to and a sustained record of research or publication in the field of communication.
In addition to teaching communication classes at Penn State Lehigh Valley, Nichola Gutgold serves as adviser to the student newspaper, State of the Valley. She is the author of four books including the most recent, "Almost Madam President: Why Hillary Clinton 'Won' in 2008" (Lexington 2009). She is also the immediate past president of the Pennsylvania Communication Association.
