About Continuing Education

Are you planning for career advancement? We offer certificate programs to increase your skills, or an associate degree which can also serve as a first step on the ladder to a four-year degree. Or, continuing education can open new doors with an undergraduate degree or graduate course.

We understand that adults' time and professional needs are different from those of traditional students, and we are committed to making Penn State an adult-friendly experience for returning students with:

• instructors experienced with the learning styles of adults
• a helpful and knowledgeable advising team
• evening classes
• evening office hours

To companies, we offer customized training programs in management and leadership skills or human resources.

We offer pre-college students a variety of programs. High school students can improve SAT scores by attending our SAT prep classes. In our summer programs, K-12 students learn science, writing, and other subjects through hands-on activities. With our community partners, we offer inner-city kids of all ages a wide variey of educational and career exploration opportunities.

Retired and looking to enrich your life? "Go-60" lifelong learners take college credit courses free of charge in our classrooms when space permits.
