Six at Seven Lecture Series Begins March 26, 2014

Program Description

Our newest community education offering highlights the research and talent of Penn State Lehigh Valley faculty.  Six @ Seven features six one-hour lectures in order to provide an “in-depth” series on a specific topic.  Lectures are held at 7 p.m.

Mini Medical School

Mini Medical School will provide an insight into the workings of the human body systems as well as the diseases that impact their wellbeing.

Featuring  Dr. Jacqueline S. McLaughlin, Associate Professor of Biology, the series will take place in lecture format and will offer participants the opportunity to learn in an understandable and engaging way.  McLaughlin received her Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology from Rutgers/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 1991. She has researched the developing zygote (during fertilization), the heart, and the cornea; presently she runs a cell culture lab wherein undergraduates research chronic myelogenous leukemia.

Our series begins Wednesday, March 26th at 7 p.m. and runs for six consecutive weeks.

Mini Medical School is for everyone - you don't need a science or medical background to participate. So whether you're a student, teacher, caregiver, retiree, health care provider, or someone with an interest in how the human body works, Mini Medical School is for you!

Schedule and Cost

Schedule: Six @ Seven begins Wednesday, March 26th and runs for six consecutive weeks.
