Spring 2015 Lecture Series starts March 18

Program Description

The Six @ Six Lecture Series features six one-hour lectures on a given topic in order to provide and "in-depth" series.

Davide Longenbach will present on the impact that the coal industry had on the people and culture of northeastern Pennsylvania in our Spring 2015 lecture series.

Schedule and Cost

"Old King Coal--Then and Now": Anthracite, Mining, Immigrants, Unrest, and Unions

Schedule: Wednesdays, 6 PM, March 18, 25, April 1, 22, 29 and May 6

Cost: $59 per person, $89 for two people of the same household.

"Handprint of the Molly Maguires"

Six @ Six will take a break on April 8 and 15 to provide the opportunity for all to experience an original screenplay created by Katina Bozikis, Penn State Lehigh Valley film instructor. The screenplay will be interpreted by local actors (this is not a full production). "Handprint of the Molly Maquires" is free and open to the public.
