The personal statement is an important part of your college application. Your essay provides additional evidence of your intellectual and creative achievement. The essay is also the place where you can put your academic record into the context of your opportunities and obstacles.
Our eight-hour course covers basic items of college application, discussion on how colleges read essays, all of the steps necessary to compose a college application essay, and reading and critiquing of several model essays.
Students will be required to write, draft, edit, and revise between class meetings in order to have a polished essay at the end of the course.
