Title: Coaching Skills InventorySteps to an Effective Coaching Meeting
Conducting coaching meetings that actually help employees to change their behavior depends on your ability to effectively use a prescribed skill set. Participants will complete the Coaching Skills Inventory and interpret their effectiveness scores as they relate to six skill areas. Learn practical tips on how to conduct a coaching meeting, from Opening the Meeting to Exploring Alternatives to Getting a Commitment to Act!

Beth Ann Delaney joined the Penn State Lehigh Valley campus team in July to focus on developing programming for business, industry, and healthcare. In this role, she is able to assess, develop, and facilitate professional leadership development for supervisors, managers, and executives.  

Prior to settling at the Lehigh Valley campus, she served as a faculty member for Penn State’s Management Development Programs and Services.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Social Work from Misericordia University and holds a master of Social Work degree from Marywood University

Title: Essential Skills for Effective Leaders

In the "Essential Skills for Effective Leaders" you will discover what your leadership style is and the effectiveness of that style. You will also have an opportunity to create an Individual Development Plan to address areas needing improvement.

Don Dutko is president and CEO of Performance Achievement Consulting, LLC a Training and Organizational Development (OD) company. He has over 30 years’ experience in the training and OD profession. He held VP, director and senior management positions in the training and development profession in the U.S. Air Force and public sector and has worked for Chrysler Financial, Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, Agere Systems, and V-SPAN.  

He earned his master of arts degree in Human Resources Management from Central Michigan University and a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Maryland.
