Lean and Six Sigma Overview
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of Lean, Six Sigma, and their related tools for practical and integrated application to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes within any organization.
The philosophy of continuous improvement and elimination of waste is paired with several proven approaches such as Design, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) and Plan, DO, Check, Act (PDCA) and the five fundamentals of lean. Additional methodologies include: brainstorming, understanding the Voice of the Customer (VOC), lessons learned, value added versus waste, workplace organization, translating customer and end user requirements into appropriate company requirements, process management, and how to recognize and evaluate potential product or process failure modes and reduce or eliminate the chance of recurrence.
Participants will learn from classroom lecture and hands-on workshops in order to learn by doing and leave each session with tools that can be implemented immediately.
As part of your tuition you will receive course textbooks: Lean Six Sigma DeMYSTiFieD and Six Sigma DeMYSTiFieD.
This is a 24-hour program which will be held at our Center Valley campus.
