Offered admission to Penn State?

Congratulations! Students should respond to all colleges or universities to which they have an offer of admission no later than May 1. To officially accept your Penn State offer of admission, return the acceptance notification enclosed in your offer packet and pay the general deposit.

Welcome! Shortly, you will be notified regarding the First-Year Testing, Consulting and Advising Program (FTCAP). FTCAP assists new first-year students in evaluating their educational plans by providing them, prior to initial registration, with a comprehensive program of testing and individualized educational planning and academic advising. First-semester course registration also happens during FTCAP.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is offered for entering students immediately before the start of the fall semester. Orientation is a student-facilitated program, led by upper class students who will assist new students with their transition to Penn State Lehigh Valley. Here first-year and transfer students will have the opportunity to meet returning students as well as faculty and staff in small group settings. A special program is offered to Adult Students that targets their special interests.

For more information on New Student Orientation, please contact the Director of Student Affairs, Tiffany Cresswell-Yeager at 610-285-5021 or send email to tjc8@psu.edu

ORIENTATION 2012 for first year students will be held on Thursday, August 23rd.

Please watch your mailboxes in late July for more information on New Student Orientation!

Paying Tuition

Penn State no longer sends paper bills. Bills are e-mailed to your Access Account (your Penn State e-mail address), which you set up when you attend FTCAP. The first bills go out in mid-July. Billing continues on a weekly basis for students scheduling after mid-July. Payment options are explained in that e-mail, and any financial aid awards are shown as a credit. Bottom line: A minimum one-third payment on your balance will be due three weeks after the billing date.

When Do Classes Start?

Classes begin on Monday, August 27 for the Fall 2012 semester.
