IMPORTANT NOTES:
In order to meet the eligibility requirements, you must:
- Complete the FAFSA each year;
- Meet Penn State’s academic progress standards;
- Not be in default or owe repayment;
- Be enrolled in an eligible degree program;
- Be enrolled at least half-time (6 credits Undergraduate, 5 credits Graduate)
- Be registered for Selective Service (males 18-25);
- A citizen or eligible non-citizen with valid social security number; and
- Have a high school diploma, GED, or passing “ability to benefit” test result.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- FAFSA available for renewal January 1
- Complete FAFSA for maximum consideration February 15 (new students) and May 1 (returning students)
- Pennsylvania deadline May 1
FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOPS
Penn State Lehigh Valley will hold a financial aid workshop to assist Penn State students and their parents with navigating through the 2008-2009 financial aid forms. Parents of high school seniors with admission offers to Penn State for the 2008 academic year, as well as any current Penn State student, may attend the workshop from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan.8,or Wednesday, Jan.9, at Penn State Lehigh Valley. A snow date is scheduled for 6:30 to 8:30 Thursday, Jan 10, in the event of inclement weather on either date. Penn State staff members will explain the financial aid process and answer any questions about the application procedure. Seating is limited. To reserve a space, call the campus at (610) 285-5000 by Jan. 4.
